COURSE CURRICULUM

In the first year of this program, students are introduced to the essential building blocks of business and computing. The curriculum includes compulsory modules that cover a wide range of topics such as management, programming, quantitative methods, databases, and digital business. The Management and Organisations module helps students explore leadership, team dynamics, and the social context of business management. Alongside this, the Web-Based Programming module offers practical knowledge in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and backend development, enabling students to build functional web applications. Additionally, the Introduction to Quantitative Methods for Business module equips students with the mathematical and statistical skills necessary to analyze and interpret business data, helping them make informed strategic decisions. The Programming for Applications module introduces students to modern programming concepts, while the Database Systems module provides a foundation in relational databases and SQL. The Introduction to Digital Business module introduces students to the role of technology in modern business, focusing on how digital systems support various business processes. In the second year, students dive deeper into information systems and project management, choosing optional modules to tailor their learning to their interests, whether in business or computing. The Year in Industry, offered in the third year, provides students with valuable real-world experience, applying their theoretical knowledge in a professional setting. The final year allows students to specialize further, with compulsory modules in Information Systems and Systems Engineering, alongside an individual project that integrates both business and computing disciplines.
