COURSE CURRICULUM

In the first year of an economics program, students build a strong foundation in microeconomics and macroeconomics. They learn about individual and business decision-making in microeconomics, while macroeconomics focuses on government policies and their impacts on the economy, including issues like inflation and unemployment. Alongside these core subjects, students take introductory mathematics for economists to develop the mathematical skills needed for future studies. They also explore accounting theory, business environments, and data analysis through modules like "Statistics and Data Analytics for Economists." This year prepares students for the more advanced concepts they will encounter in later years, including econometrics and intermediate micro and macroeconomics. The second year deepens their understanding of these areas and introduces more complex statistical techniques, while offering the opportunity to choose from various specialized modules in finance and business. The third year offers a unique opportunity to study abroad at one of over 25 partner universities worldwide, gaining global perspectives on economics and enhancing employability. Finally, in the fourth year, students focus on advanced topics, possibly writing a dissertation or working on a consulting project. Throughout the program, students are supported by a skills development module, ensuring they are well-prepared for both academic success and their future careers.
