COURSE CURRICULUM

The Psychology program is structured to provide a deep understanding of psychological theory, research, and its real-world applications. In the first year, students are introduced to fundamental concepts in psychology, focusing on areas such as behavior, social interaction, and self-understanding. A core compulsory module, Introduction to Psychology, equips students with a broad overview of psychological theory, research methods, and an introduction to both qualitative and quantitative research techniques.In the second year, students advance their knowledge by studying key areas such as Social and Developmental Psychology, Cognitive and Biological Psychology, and Experimental Psychological Analysis. These modules build on the foundational knowledge from the first year and emphasize critical thinking, research methods, and data analysis. Students also have the opportunity to choose an optional module, offering flexibility to explore topics that align with their personal interests or career goals.The third year offers a unique opportunity for students to study abroad at an approved overseas university, broadening their academic and cultural perspectives. In the final year, students complete a substantial Research Project where they can apply their research skills to a developmental topic of interest. They are also required to take the Developmental Science in Action module, which focuses on cognitive development during infancy and childhood, offering practical insights into how children learn.This structured yet flexible program provides a well-rounded education in psychology, preparing students for careers in research, clinical practice, or other fields where understanding human behavior is crucial.
