COURSE CURRICULUM

The BSc in Business at Norwich Business School is designed to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of business principles across four years. The first year introduces core modules that cover key business areas including quantitative methods, financial and management accounting, corporate finance, and digital business. These foundational courses help students develop essential skills in data analysis, financial decision-making, and the use of technology in business. By the end of this year, students will have a solid grounding in business principles and the ability to communicate and collaborate across disciplines, which is critical for future success in management accounting and other business functions.In the second year, students build upon their first-year learning with more specialized courses in financial reporting, management accounting, and strategic analysis. They will also have the opportunity to choose two optional modules based on their interests and career goals. The flexibility of these options allows students to tailor their studies, for example, by focusing on international business or language skills for global careers. Modules such as Managing People provide valuable insights into human resource management and organizational behavior, while Strategic Awareness and Analysis explores the formulation and execution of business strategies.The third year offers a unique opportunity for students to study abroad at one of the school’s partner institutions. This international experience enhances students’ global perspective and allows them to apply their business knowledge in diverse cultural contexts. Finally, the fourth year focuses on advanced management accounting, where students deepen their understanding of contemporary practices in organizational control, performance measurement, and decision-making. Students also have the flexibility to choose from a wide range of optional modules, further specializing according to their career aspirations in areas such as management consulting or tax and auditing.
