In your first year, you'll study a compulsory core module that lays a strong foundation for understanding psychological theory and research, with a particular focus on how this knowledge is applied in the real world. The teaching sessions are organized around themes such as behavior, social interaction, the application of psychology, and understanding yourself. You’ll also learn key methods for studying psychology, helping you develop research skills and a critical perspective. The compulsory module for Year 1 is "Introduction to Psychology" (PSY-4010Y), which carries 120 credits. Lectures and seminars will be delivered by different experts in psychological science, offering you a broad view of the field. The module also introduces both quantitative research methods and qualitative techniques, helping you develop skills for conducting psychological research. In Year 2, you’ll continue with compulsory modules that build upon your foundation and deepen your understanding of various psychological subfields. One of the main focuses is an advanced module on research methods, where you'll consolidate your knowledge of research design, qualitative analysis, and statistics.
