COURSE CURRICULUM

In Year 1, you'll take a series of core modules in Physical Education, Sport, and Health (PESH) that lay the foundation for your studies. You will explore how the body responds to exercise, the psychological aspects of sport, and the development of motor skills. You’ll also engage in learning how to train individuals to enhance fitness, well-being, and performance, whether they are beginners or elite athletes. In addition, you’ll begin developing your professional identity and academic skills, preparing for future studies and career opportunities. In Year 2, the focus shifts to sport development, policy, and high-performance sport. You’ll explore research methods, design your own research project, and gain practical experience through a work placement. Modules in this year include research methods, partnerships in sport provision, and high-performance sport. Year 3 is an exciting opportunity to study abroad at a global partner university, allowing you to expand your academic perspectives in a new context. In Year 4, you’ll work on your dissertation, conducting independent research, and analyzing data. You will also have the option to choose advanced modules that align with your professional goals. By the end of the course, you’ll have acquired a range of academic, professional, and personal skills, fully preparing you for a career in physical education, sport, and health.
