The Engineering Design Project encourages creative thinking in collaborative environments, while Structures and Materials enhances their understanding of how physical forces and materials influence engineering outcomes.In the final year, students shift focus to specialise further through an individual research or design project. Alongside advanced studies in electricity infrastructure, storage, and low-carbon technologies, students undertake the Engineering Major Project. This is a pivotal experience, giving them the opportunity to explore an area of energy engineering that aligns with their career ambitions. They are encouraged to work independently, often with links to industry, which strengthens both their technical competence and their professional readiness.
