COURSE CURRICULUM

In the first year of the BSc Business Finance and Economics degree, you'll build a strong foundation in both microeconomics and macroeconomics. The curriculum covers essential economic modelling techniques, using mathematical and statistical methods, while introducing you to key concepts like fiscal and monetary policies. You'll also explore how economic, political, cultural, and technological factors impact business operations through modules provided by the Norwich Business School. If you don't have an A-level in mathematics or an equivalent qualification, an introductory mathematics module will help you develop the necessary skills for economic analysis. In the second year, you'll advance your understanding of microeconomics and macroeconomics and gain practical experience with econometrics, applying statistical methods to real-world economic problems. The curriculum further explores corporate finance and offers flexibility to choose from various optional modules in areas like financial reporting and corporate taxation. In the final year, you’ll deepen your expertise in the financial sector, studying topics like behavioural finance and financial risk management. You’ll also have the opportunity to either write a dissertation or engage in a consulting project, allowing you to apply your knowledge to practical challenges. The program is designed to develop your analytical and problem-solving skills, preparing you for a successful career in business and finance.
