COURSE CURRICULUM

The economics curriculum is structured over three years, with each year building on core concepts and skills. In the first year, students gain a foundational understanding of microeconomics and macroeconomics, while also developing essential mathematical and statistical techniques. Key modules include Introductory Mathematics for Economists, which covers basic mathematical techniques, and Statistics and Data Analytics for Economists, introducing students to probability, hypothesis testing, and data visualization. Behavioral insights are explored through the Economics of Business Decision-Making, and Current Economic Affairs connects theory to real-world issues. Students also study Introductory Microeconomics and Introductory Macroeconomics, which establish the framework for analyzing individual, firm, and government decision-making.In the second year, students build on their knowledge of micro and macroeconomics, with modules like Introductory Econometrics, where they apply statistical methods to real-world data. Intermediate Microeconomics and Intermediate Macroeconomics deepen the analysis of decision-making under uncertainty and macroeconomic policy. The Economics of Corporate Finance introduces students to firm valuation and investment strategies. Throughout the year, the ECO STEPS module provides ongoing support to develop academic and personal skills.In the final year, students specialize in topics like industrial organization, business strategies, and competition economics. The Industrial Organisation and Business Strategies module explores market dynamics and firm strategies. Students can also choose from advanced modules in areas like development economics or financial markets. A dissertation or consulting project offers an opportunity for independent research or collaboration with external organizations, consolidating the skills developed throughout the program.
