COURSE CURRICULUM

The BSc Business Analytics program at Norwich Business School is structured to build a comprehensive understanding of business and analytics, progressively developing key skills across three years. In the first year, all students in the business-related BSc programs take the same core modules, offering a broad view of business disciplines. Modules cover financial accounting, corporate finance, economics, and digital business, with an emphasis on quantitative methods and data analysis. A foundational course, Introduction to Quantitative Methods for Business, provides students with essential skills in mathematics, statistics, and the use of spreadsheets and statistical software for business decision-making.The second year dives deeper into business analytics, offering specialized modules such as Quantitative Methods for Business and Statistics for Business, where students learn to apply advanced statistical techniques and digital tools for data analysis. Other modules like Information and Data Management and Information Systems for Management focus on data governance, security, and the role of information systems in business decision-making. Students also choose two optional modules, providing flexibility to specialize in areas such as project management or marketing.In the final year, students consolidate their learning by engaging with Current Topics in Business Analytics, tackling real-world problems, and working on a Final Year Project/Dissertation where they apply their skills to a specific business problem or opportunity. This project could involve collaboration with external organizations, offering students a chance to work on practical business challenges. The combination of compulsory modules, optional courses, and hands-on experience equips students with the skills needed to succeed in the dynamic field of business analytics.
