COURSE CURRICULUM

The BSc program at Norwich Business School is designed to provide a comprehensive and evolving understanding of business, accounting, and finance over three years. In the first year, students follow a common structure that builds a broad foundation across six core modules, covering essential areas like financial and management accounting, economics, corporate finance, digital business, and quantitative methods. This shared structure allows flexibility for students to switch to other courses as they discover their interests. The first year focuses on equipping students with a wide-ranging skill set, necessary for navigating complex business environments and collaborating across departments. As students move into the second year, the curriculum becomes more specialised, introducing core modules in financial reporting, management accounting, and business finance. Students also begin to tailor their studies through optional modules, including areas like taxation or data analytics, preparing them for specific career paths. In the final year, the emphasis shifts toward advanced, critical engagement with accounting and finance. Students are encouraged to challenge existing theories, explore contemporary issues, and develop their own informed perspectives. A compulsory Corporate Reporting module deepens technical knowledge and analytical ability, while a wide choice of optional modules allows for further personalisation of the academic journey.
