COURSE CURRICULUM

The BA in Marketing and Management with International Year One is specially designed to support international students who may not yet meet the direct entry requirements for undergraduate study. Whether due to differences in academic qualifications or English language proficiency, this foundation year provides a valuable stepping stone to ensure students are fully prepared for success in their degree. Delivered over three terms, the program combines academic modules in business and economics with tailored English language and study skills support. This integrated structure not only strengthens students’ subject knowledge but also helps them adjust to the expectations and learning style of UK higher education.Throughout the year, students are introduced to key business disciplines including marketing, management, accounting, and both micro and macroeconomics. These core subjects form the basis of a comprehensive understanding of the business world, providing students with the analytical tools and conceptual frameworks needed in later stages of the degree. In addition to academic content, the English for Academic Purposes module enhances students’ communication, writing, and presentation skills, ensuring they are confident in both academic and professional settings.By the end of the year, students will have gained more than just a foundation—they will be equipped with the essential knowledge, skills, and confidence to progress into the second year of the Marketing and Management degree.
