The first year of the business degree program at NBS offers a comprehensive introduction to the world of business. All students complete the same core modules, providing a broad view of business and a strong foundation in key areas like marketing, management, finance, and accounting. These courses are designed to give students the opportunity to explore the essential aspects of modern business, including managing organizations, understanding the business environment, and managing data in a digital world. Students also delve into marketing principles, with an emphasis on the role of data and decision-making in the business context. One standout feature of the first year is the Applied Business Project, which challenges students to identify societal problems and develop business solutions to address them. By the end of the year, students will have gained both specialized knowledge and a broad understanding of business, preparing them for the more focused study in subsequent years.In Year 2, students focus on more specific business functions like Marketing Communications and Strategic Awareness and Analysis, and can begin to tailor their studies by choosing from a range of optional modules. This year enables students to refine their skills in strategic thinking, communications, and analysis, all of which are crucial for success in leadership roles. Year 2 sets the stage for practical application by encouraging critical thinking and preparing students for real-world challenges.In Year 3, students spend a year working in industry through a Year in Industry module, which allows them to apply the knowledge they've gained and develop key professional skills. Finally, in Year 4, students deepen their understanding of advanced marketing and strategic management concepts, preparing them for leadership roles in the business world.
