The BA in Politics and International Relations offers a dynamic and engaging journey through political thought, systems, and global challenges. In Year 1, students build a strong foundation in political theory, global politics, and political communication. Core modules examine key political ideologies like liberalism and socialism, the impact of political actors and institutions, and pressing global issues such as war, conflict, and digital political communication. In Year 3, students take part in a professional placement that allows them to apply their academic knowledge to real-world settings. With support from faculty and career services, students work in fields of their choice, from public policy to journalism or heritage sectors. This immersive experience boosts employability and personal growth. The final year culminates in an independent dissertation or group research project. Students draw on all their academic experiences to explore a subject of their choice, guided by expert supervision.
