COURSE CURRICULUM

In Year 1, you build your foundation in either French, Spanish, or Japanese while being introduced to key ideas about language, communication, culture, and business. You take compulsory modules in language studies, global business, and intercultural topics. Language modules are adapted to your proficiency level, and you also begin developing academic and teamwork skills.In Year 2, your language learning advances to a higher level and becomes more focused on fluency and practical use. You choose business-related modules in marketing or management and get the chance to specialise in areas like media, translation, or subtitling. You can also start a new language if you want. Language classes continue to adapt to your level, with a focus on preparing you for the year abroad.Year 3 is spent abroad, either studying or working in a country where your chosen language is spoken. Options include France, Spain, Japan, Mexico, Canada, and others. You immerse yourself in local culture and language for at least seven months, gaining independence and deep intercultural experience. You can study at a partner university or organise your own work placement with guidance from the university.In Year 4, you return for advanced language study and to refine your skills for professional settings. You take core modules on intercultural leadership and business communication, and can specialise in areas like ethics, marketing, or media. Language modules are taught entirely in the target language and focus on high-level communication, translation, and professional applications. You also have the chance to do a dissertation or project on a topic of your choice.
