COURSE CURRICULUM

The International Business Management course at Norwich Business School is designed to equip students with a thorough understanding of the global business environment, blending theoretical foundations with practical application. In the first year, students gain a comprehensive overview of the core areas of business through six compulsory modules, including marketing, finance, data management, and organisational behaviour. This broad foundation allows students not only to build essential business knowledge but also to explore whether International Business Management is the right fit before progressing further in the program.The second year focuses on developing expertise in international business and strategic planning. Through compulsory modules such as International Business and Strategic Awareness and Analysis, students examine the forces shaping global trade and competition, while learning to analyse complex business environments and formulate effective strategies. Alongside these, students select from a variety of optional modules, including the opportunity to study a foreign language, allowing for a degree of personalisation based on individual interests and career goals.In the final year, the course sharpens its focus on advanced strategic thinking and real-world business application. Students study two core modules—Strategic Management and Cases in International Business—which delve into contemporary challenges multinational enterprises face, from internationalisation to organisational capability. The course encourages students to think critically and act strategically, preparing them for leadership roles in a global context.
