COURSE CURRICULUM

The MSc International Business and Marketing comprises 180 credits in total, leading to the award of a full Master of Science (MSc) qualification. As part of the programme, students complete Independent Study: Research Methods (20 credits), which develops advanced research design, academic writing, data collection, and analytical skills, followed by an Independent Dissertation (40 credits), allowing them to investigate a specialist topic related to international business or marketing while demonstrating independent research, critical thinking, and strategic analysis. The flexible postgraduate award structure also provides recognised exit qualifications for students who do not complete the full programme. Students who successfully complete 60 credits are awarded a Postgraduate Certificate (PGCert), while those who complete 120 credits receive a Postgraduate Diploma (PGDip). To achieve the full MSc International Business and Marketing degree, students must successfully complete all 180 credits, including the taught modules, research methods module, and independent dissertation, equipping them with advanced academic knowledge, practical business expertise, and research capabilities for leadership roles in international business and marketing.
