COURSE CURRICULUM

The BSc (Hons) Artificial Intelligence and Human Resource Management curriculum combines technical expertise in artificial intelligence with modern human resource management practices to prepare graduates for technology-driven people management roles. In the first year, students study core modules including Logic and Discrete Mathematics, Programming, Ethics and Artificial Intelligence, Digital Skills for Artificial Intelligence, Understanding People in Organisations, and Marketing Fundamentals. These modules establish strong foundations in programming, mathematical reasoning, AI ethics, digital technologies, organisational behaviour, and business principles. Students develop essential skills in algebra, logic, discrete mathematics, graphs, networks, matrices, and computational problem-solving while gaining an understanding of workplace behaviour, organisational culture, employee motivation, and marketing concepts that support business performance. In the second year, students build advanced knowledge through core modules in Data Science and Modelling Fundamentals, Introduction to Machine Learning, Research Methods in Artificial Intelligence, Team Project on Contemporary Issues in AI, People Resourcing and Talent Planning, and Employee Development. These modules develop expertise in data modelling, forecasting, visualisation, exploratory data analysis, machine learning, AI research methods, recruitment and selection, workforce planning, talent management, learning, training, and employee development. Collaborative projects provide practical experience in applying AI technologies to solve contemporary organisational and human resource challenges. In the final year, students enhance their strategic and professional capabilities through core modules including Frontiers in Artificial Intelligence and Data Science, Deep Learning, Individual Project in Applied AI, Comparative International HRM, and Developing Leadership and Management. Students explore the latest developments in artificial intelligence, advanced deep learning techniques, industry-standard AI tools, international human resource management, leadership strategies, and organisational development while completing an independent AI project that addresses real-world business or HR problems. Throughout the programme, students develop strong analytical, programming, research, communication, leadership, and decision-making skills while learning to integrate artificial intelligence into modern HR practices ethically and effectively. Overall, the curriculum combines mathematics, computing, machine learning, data science, organisational behaviour, leadership, and human resource management to prepare graduates for careers in human resource management, people analytics, talent acquisition, workforce planning, organisational development, HR technology, business consultancy, digital transformation, and leadership roles across public, private, and international organisations.
