COURSE CURRICULUM

This Psychology and Business Management joint honours degree combines scientific study of human behaviour with practical business education, enabling you to develop strong analytical, research and management skills. In the first year, you build a foundation in social, cognitive, biological and developmental psychology, research methods, organisational behaviour, marketing and finance, gaining an understanding of both human behaviour and business operations. During the second year, you study responsible management and operations management while choosing from a wide range of psychology and business options, including psychopathology, cyberpsychology, health psychology, psychology of wellbeing, forensic psychology, animal behaviour, logistics, enterprise management, digital media, public relations, human resource management, quantitative business skills and innovation. In the final year, you can tailor your degree through specialist psychology modules such as positive psychology, neuropsychology, clinical applications, autism spectrum disorder and ADHD, behaviour change, forensic applications, psychology of pain, communication, education, sport and exercise psychology, human performance and independent research, alongside business options including global business strategy, international entrepreneurship, leadership, international marketing, human resource management, supply chain management and financial statement analysis. The programme places a strong emphasis on research, critical thinking and evidence-based decision-making while developing practical business knowledge through case studies, projects and real-world applications. Students gain valuable transferable skills in data analysis, communication, leadership, teamwork, problem-solving and strategic decision-making, preparing them to understand both individual behaviour and organisational performance.
