COURSE CURRICULUM

The Global Affairs and Business Management degree combines the study of international politics, global issues and business, providing students with a broad understanding of the forces shaping today's interconnected world. In the first year, students study world politics, political theory, culture and society alongside core business subjects including organisational behaviour, marketing and finance. These modules introduce key concepts such as international relations, globalisation, diplomacy, security, human rights, economic development and policymaking while developing a solid understanding of business management principles. In the second year, students can tailor their studies through optional modules covering research methods, international relations theory, environmental politics and political change, alongside business options in public relations, human resource management, finance, digital media, project management, business technology and creativity. The final year offers further specialisation with modules exploring activism, international security and independent political research, complemented by business options including international marketing, entrepreneurship, international human resource management, financial analysis, logistics and supply chain management. Throughout the programme, students develop advanced research, analytical, communication, leadership and critical thinking skills while learning to evaluate complex political, social and economic issues from multiple perspectives. The course emphasises real-world learning by connecting business theory with professional practice through industry engagement and practical applications.
