COURSE CURRICULUM

The Business Accounting and Finance curriculum provides a comprehensive blend of business management, accounting, finance, and leadership, equipping students with the knowledge and practical skills required for careers in the global business environment. In the first year, students develop a strong foundation by studying organisational behaviour, marketing, business economics, financial and management accounting, and business law. They gain an understanding of workplace behaviour, employee motivation, marketing principles, economic concepts, and essential accounting techniques while applying organisational behaviour theories to real-world business case studies. During the second year, the programme broadens students’ knowledge through core modules in sustainability and responsible management, applied operations management, financial and management accounting, while offering a range of optional modules in areas such as financial management, human resource management, public relations, digital and social media, innovation, project strategy, information technology, and quantitative business analysis. Students explore responsible leadership, corporate governance, ethics, sustainability, climate change, stakeholder management, global supply chains, and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), preparing them to address modern business challenges. In the final year, students strengthen their strategic and leadership capabilities through core modules in global business and strategy and developing leadership and management, alongside optional modules covering financial reporting, financial strategy, management accounting, taxation, entrepreneurship, international marketing, supply chain management, human resource management, and investment analysis. They examine international trade, foreign direct investment, global economic developments, corporate governance, leadership, and strategic decision-making while developing practical skills in data interpretation, problem-solving, positioning analysis, and evaluating strategic business options. Teaching is delivered through lectures, seminars, case studies, group projects, and practical activities that encourage critical thinking, collaboration, and professional communication. The curriculum combines technical accounting expertise with broader business management knowledge, enabling graduates to pursue careers in accounting, finance, business management, consulting, banking, marketing, entrepreneurship, and international business while providing a strong foundation for further professional qualifications and career advancement.
