COURSE CURRICULUM

The MSc Logistics and Supply Chain Management course is structured to provide students with an in-depth understanding of key areas essential for modern supply chain and operations leadership. Core modules cover Business and Operations Supply Strategy, which develops strategic thinking and planning capabilities across organisational operations, and Strategic Project Management, which equips students with the skills to plan, execute, and monitor complex projects effectively. Procurement Risk and Contract Management focuses on managing supplier relationships, mitigating risks, and ensuring contractual compliance, while Logistics and Transportation Management explores the optimisation of goods movement, distribution networks, and operational efficiency. Management Research Methods provides the tools and techniques required for evidence-based decision-making, including data analysis, research design, and critical evaluation of contemporary supply chain issues. The program culminates in a final project, which can take the form of a Management Research Project, allowing for in-depth investigation into a topic of professional relevance, or a New Business Development Proposal for a more practice-oriented approach. If a placement or project year is selected, the research dissertation module is replaced by a placement or project module, providing hands-on experience and direct application of learning in a real-world organisational setting. Overall, the course equips graduates with strategic, analytical, and practical skills needed to advance their careers in logistics, supply chain, and operations management at both national and international levels.
