COURSE CURRICULUM

The MSc in International Business is structured to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of management in a global context, combining strategic, operational, and practical perspectives. Year 1 modules cover essential areas of international business, including Strategic Financial Management, which develops the ability to interpret financial information to support strategic decision-making, and Understanding and Launching a Sustainable International Business, which explores the principles of sustainability and responsible business practices in global markets. Understanding and Managing People focuses on leadership, team dynamics, and human resource strategies, while International Marketing Strategy examines how organisations develop and implement effective marketing approaches across international contexts. Management Research Methods equips students with the skills to conduct rigorous, evidence-based research, preparing them for their Management Research Project, which allows an in-depth investigation of a practical business topic aligned with personal interests and career goals. Students have the option to tailor their final project by choosing between a traditional dissertation, a New Business Development Proposal, or a Case Study in Context, ensuring flexibility and relevance to their professional aspirations. For those opting for a Placement or Project Year, the Research Project is replaced by a placement or independent project module, providing practical, hands-on experience and enhancing employability by enabling students to apply theoretical knowledge to real-world international business challenges.
