COURSE CURRICULUM

This MSc in Financial Technology (FinTech) and Business Analytics is structured to provide a comprehensive understanding of the core areas driving innovation in modern finance, combining technical, analytical and strategic expertise. During Year 1, students complete four core modules designed to develop advanced knowledge and practical skills in financial technology management, the application of artificial intelligence, business and financial analytics, programming, and digital transformation. Artificial Intelligence in Finance and Analytics explores the use of intelligent systems and machine learning to enhance decision-making in financial contexts, while Quantitative Techniques for Financial Analysis strengthens the ability to interpret complex financial data for informed business strategies. Programming for Business Analytics provides essential coding and computational skills to process and analyse large datasets, and Research Methods for Accounting and Finance develops critical research and analytical capabilities. The program culminates in a substantial final project, offering students the opportunity to apply their learning through a dissertation, a real-world case study analysis, or the development of a new business proposal, enabling the integration of theory and practice in alignment with individual career goals. For those who choose a Placement or Project Year, the Dissertation module is replaced by a professional placement or independent project, providing valuable practical experience and further enhancing employability in fintech, data analytics, and business management roles.
