COURSE CURRICULUM

In the first year of the MSc program, students will engage in a range of modules designed to provide a comprehensive understanding of various aspects of management, economics, and strategic operations. The Human Resource Development module (HRM7505-B) focuses on the role of Human Resource Development (HRD) and leadership coaching, emphasizing the importance of skill development within organizational contexts. It encourages a critical understanding of how HRD integrates with overall performance management. The Global Technology and Innovation Management module (EAE7502-B) explores the management and ethical implications of emerging technologies and innovations, with a focus on their impact on organizations and society. The MSc Dissertation (MAL7501-E) enables students to undertake an in-depth project investigating a management issue, utilizing skills gained from previous modules and critically evaluating management theories. Strategic Management (SIB7501-B) introduces students to strategic management frameworks and their practical application, fostering a critical approach to organizational strategy. Marketing Planning and Strategy (MAR7501-B) encourages students to evaluate marketing concepts and their real-world application, preparing them to address contemporary marketing challenges. The Operations Management module (OIM7503-A) provides insight into the core operations function, demonstrating its critical role in organizational success. Lastly, Business Economics (AFE7504-A) equips students with a solid foundation in economic concepts, focusing on macroeconomics and how economic factors influence decision-making at the household, firm, and government levels.
