COURSE CURRICULUM

The first year of the Master’s in Artificial Intelligence and Space Technology provides a comprehensive foundation in both AI and space systems through a mix of core and optional modules. Core modules focus on building advanced technical knowledge and practical expertise. Big Data Systems and Analytics equips students with skills to manage, process, and interpret vast datasets, while Advanced Machine Learning develops understanding of cutting-edge algorithms and their applications. Space Ecosystem and Enabling Technologies introduces the structure, functions, and innovations driving the space sector, and Applied AI in Space Data and Systems teaches how AI can be harnessed to solve real-world challenges using space-generated data. Alongside these, students can tailor their learning through optional modules. Big Data Visualisation sharpens the ability to present complex datasets in meaningful ways, while Responsible AI: Ethics, Law and Governance ensures an understanding of the ethical and regulatory dimensions of AI deployment. Earth Observation Satellite focuses on monitoring and analysing environmental and planetary changes from space, and Digital Signal Processing Systems develops expertise in handling and interpreting signals critical to satellite communication and AI integration. Together, these modules prepare students with an interdisciplinary skillset, blending AI, data analytics, and space technology to meet industry demands.
