COURSE CURRICULUM

In the first year of this MSc program, students will undertake various modules designed to enhance their understanding of management, operations, logistics, and data analytics. The MSc Dissertation (MAL7501-E) allows students to conduct an in-depth investigation into a management issue, utilizing knowledge and skills acquired in prior modules. It emphasizes critically evaluating management theories and models, developing project management skills, and using literature to form evidence-based conclusions. Business Data Analytics (OIM7502-B) equips students with the skills to analyze business data, using tools like SAS to gain insights for better decision-making. The Emerging Issues in Logistics and Supply Chain Management (OIM7501-B) module encourages critical evaluation of current and future challenges in logistics and supply chain management, preparing students to tackle real-world problems. Operations Management (OIM7503-A) focuses on the core functions of operations management, demonstrating how effective operations are essential for business success. Freight Transport (OIM7512-A) provides a deep dive into freight transport management, covering both operational and strategic perspectives. Procurement Fundamentals and Quality Systems (OIM7505-B) develops expertise in procurement and quality management, highlighting their role in improving organizational performance. Lastly, Supply Chain Analytics and Technology Management (OIM7504-B) equips students with data analytics and technology skills to address supply chain issues, using open-source software like 'R' for predictive and descriptive analytics. Together, these modules aim to provide students with both theoretical knowledge and practical skills to excel in management, logistics, and supply chain roles, equipping them for leadership positions in their respective fields.
