In the first year of the program, students are introduced to various aspects of financial technology, finance, and related fields. The Fundamentals of Financial Technology, Blockchain, and Value Creation module (AFE7517-B) provides an introduction to FinTech and its significant impact on the financial services industry, global markets, and investors. It covers the ongoing developments and issues in FinTech and blockchain technology, offering students a critical understanding of their implications on the digital economy. The Quantitative Methods in Finance module (AFE7501-B) equips students with essential mathematical, econometric, and statistical skills that are vital for advanced studies in finance. The module also introduces students to fundamental finance and investment concepts, laying the groundwork for future learning. The FinTech Regulations, Compliance, Ethics, and Risk Management module (AFE7516-B) focuses on the regulatory and compliance landscape within FinTech. Students explore the principles of governance, risk management, and the regulatory frameworks shaping the FinTech industry globally. The Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence in Finance module (AFE7518-B) teaches students about machine learning and its practical applications in finance, including areas such as portfolio management, risk assessment, and regulatory compliance.
