The Law for Social Work (SOW7006-B) module equips students to critically analyze legal issues pertinent to social work. Additionally, Social Work with Adults (SOW7007-B) explores the role of social workers in adult care, considering life transitions and culturally appropriate responses to crises. Social Work with Children and Families (SOW7008-B) delves into policies and practices surrounding social work with children and families. Practice Placement Learning 1 (SOW7013-B) provides students with practical placement experience, allowing them to reflect critically on their developing competence. The Readiness for Direct Social Work Practice (SOW7024-Z) module ensures students meet the necessary professional standards to proceed to placements. Lastly, Ethics, Professionalism, and Reflective Practice (SOW7011-A) supports critical reflection on social work values and ethics.In the Final Year, modules like Mental Distress Across the Life Course (SOW7022-B) enable students to understand mental health across the lifespan, considering factors such as culture and gender.
