COURSE CURRICULUM

In the first year of the program, students undertake core modules that lay the foundation for their legal education and practical skills development. The SQE1 Legal Theory and Solicitors Practice module introduces students to essential legal principles and the practice of solicitors, preparing them for the first stage of the Solicitors Qualifying Examination (SQE1). The Law Clinic 1 module offers hands-on experience, allowing students to apply their legal knowledge in real-world situations by providing legal advice under supervision. This is complemented by the SQE1 (SRA External Exam), an important examination that tests students' legal knowledge and skills as required by the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA).In the final year, students build on their foundational knowledge with more advanced modules. The SQE2 Legal Theory and Solicitors Practice module prepares students for the second stage of the Solicitors Qualifying Examination (SQE2), focusing on practical legal skills and client care. Law Clinic 2 further enhances students' practical experience, offering more complex casework and professional exposure. Finally, the Dissertation module allows students to conduct independent research on a legal topic of their choice, demonstrating their ability to critically analyze legal issues and contribute to the field of law. Together, these modules provide a comprehensive approach to preparing students for a legal career, balancing theoretical knowledge with practical, real-world experience.
