COURSE CURRICULUM

The Computer Science program offers a comprehensive curriculum designed to provide foundational knowledge and technical skills across various areas of computing. In the first year, students are introduced to key programming concepts with an emphasis on problem-solving using Java in the Fundamentals of Programming module. Mathematics for Computing lays the groundwork for algorithmic thinking and system modeling, while the Technical and Professional Skills module focuses on building crucial skills for the IT industry, such as shell programming, decision-making, and understanding legal and ethical issues. The Computer Architecture and Systems Software module explores digital logic and hardware systems, and Internet Technologies provides essential knowledge of protocols, web hosting, and scripting languages. In Software Design and Development, students learn object-oriented programming and software engineering principles.In the second year, the curriculum delves deeper into specialized areas such as Computer Communications and Networks, which covers networking principles and security. The Enterprise Pro module offers students the opportunity to work on real-world projects, gaining industry experience. System Security Management teaches security measures for protecting networks, while Artificial Intelligence provides a foundational understanding of AI concepts and practical coding skills. The Data Structures and Algorithms and Database Systems modules further strengthen problem-solving and data management skills.The third year allows for a study abroad or placement year, providing real-world exposure. In the final year, students work on a Final Year Project to apply their skills in research and software development.
