In the first year of the healthcare program, students are introduced to foundational knowledge in human biology, anatomy, medical imaging, and healthcare ethics. The *Human Biology* module (CLS4013-C) focuses on cell components, metabolism, homeostasis, and the roles of the nervous and endocrine systems in maintaining balance. *Anatomy and Medical Imaging* (CLS4014-B) offers a comprehensive introduction to the human body’s anatomical structure, functions, and related medical imaging technologies, essential for diagnosis and treatment. *Academic Skills and Professional Development* (CLS4009-B) equips students with the necessary communication, professionalism, and lifelong learning skills for success in healthcare fields. The *Ethics, Laws, and Values in Healthcare* module (CLS4010-B) explores ethical issues, medical law, and the core values needed for effective healthcare practice and teamwork. Lastly, *Systems, Physiology and Anatomy* (CLS4011-U) provides an understanding of human body systems, the molecular and cellular basis of health, and how abnormalities can lead to disease, laying the groundwork for further study in medical and healthcare fields.In the second year of the healthcare program, students focus on a variety of subjects that deepen their understanding of healthcare, technology, and global health challenges. The *Digital Health and Enterprise* module (CLS5009-B) introduces students to digital technologies in healthcare, emphasizing the challenges in developing and implementing digital health tools, while also fostering problem-solving and collaboration skills. *Global Health* (CLS5010-B) provides an in-depth look at global health debates, determinants of health, health inequalities, and the progress toward sustainable development goals, giving students a broad perspective on global health challenges. In *Medical and Molecular Genetics* (CLS5011-B), students explore the principles of genetics and their application to genetic disorders, while the *Neurobiology and Mental Health* module (CLS5012-B) focuses on the nervous system, mental health issues, and therapeutics for treating neurological conditions, with a special emphasis on neurodiversity. *Pharmacology and Therapeutics* (CLS5013-B) develops students’ understanding of drug metabolism, dosage requirements, and drug delivery strategies. Finally, the *Careers and Professional Development* module (CLS5008-Z) helps students develop essential employability and career management skills, preparing them for roles in the healthcare sector and further study.In the final year of the program, students undertake a combination of advanced coursework and practical research projects. The *Advanced Topics* module (CLS6006-B) introduces students to a range of research topics in medical science, physiology, health, and biomedical science, further developing their ability to critically analyze and describe scientific information. The *Research Skills* module (CLS6007-B) enhances students' practical experience with experimental techniques and research methods relevant to biological and clinical research. *Careers and Professional Development* (CLS6008-Z) focuses on refining employability skills, offering resources for career applications and aligning students' attributes with the expectations of the Bradford Graduate. In *Health Economics and Management* (CLS6009-B), students learn management and economic theories applied to healthcare services, focusing on efficiency, equity, and contemporary healthcare issues. The *Research Project* module (CLS6010-D) provides students the opportunity to collaborate with a staff member on a research or enquiry-based project in medical science, refining their critical analysis, research skills, and ability to present findings, all while testing their hypothesis and contributing to new knowledge.
