First Year: The Business Economics module (AFE4001-B) introduces key economic concepts, principles, and policies, helping students understand the micro and macroeconomic environments of business and analyze economic problems in the UK, Europe, and globally. It also explores debates on sustainable economic development. Foundations of Marketing (MAR4002-B) provides a grounding in marketing principles, applying these concepts to real business practices. Introduction to Accounting (AFE4005-B) offers a broad understanding of financial and management accounting, highlighting the importance of sustainable and responsible reporting. People, Work and Organisations/Work in Context (HRM4009-B) focuses on understanding the factors influencing human behavior in organizations and the workplace, emphasizing ethical and corporate social responsibility issues. Principles of Responsible Management and Practice (OIM4013-B) introduces the concept of responsible business and explores the management challenges in achieving sustainable organizational performance. The module covers organizational theories, strategies, corporate social responsibility, leadership, ethics, and the role of government in responsible enterprise, examining the impact of technology, data, and globalization.Second Year: The Entrepreneurship and Employability module (HRM5015-B) introduces the concepts of entrepreneurship and employability, providing students with knowledge and skills to engage in the entrepreneurial process and enhance their employability. The module explores both broad and narrow interpretations of entrepreneurship, focusing on being entrepreneurial within organizations and for new ventures. Human Resource Management (HRM5008-B) examines the nature of work, particularly the power dynamics between employees and employers, reviewing topical workplace initiatives and the strategic contribution of HRM to organizational effectiveness. Business Law and Ethics (LAW4004-B) explores the ethical considerations in law and business, providing law students with key legal concepts and offering business students insights into law and management practices to enhance their commercial awareness. Strategic Management (SIB5003-B) develops students' abilities to undertake strategic analysis of an organization, equipping them with the necessary knowledge and understanding for in-depth analysis.Third Year Study abroad or placement year.Final Year: The Business Ethics and Social Responsibility module (HRM6010-B) provides an understanding of the philosophical and sociological context of business ethics and corporate social responsibility. It introduces prominent ethical frameworks to analyze policy and practice in contemporary business organizations at both micro and macro levels. The Final Year Business Project (HRM6013-D) further develops practical business and management research methodology skills, offering students the opportunity to engage in significant in-depth research. This project enables students to apply the concepts, techniques, and skills they have acquired during their degree to address a business management challenge or create a new business opportunity, with a focus on responsible management, ethics, and sustainability.
