COURSE CURRICULUM

Engineering Materials (ENG4007-B) introduces materials selection, processing, and properties, while Thermofluids 1 (ENG4008-B) covers thermodynamics and fluid mechanics.In Year 2, students expand their skills with Engineering Mathematics and Machine Learning (ENM5007-B), which integrates analytical and statistical methods to solve engineering problems. The Group Project (ENG5060-B) offers hands-on product design experience using CAD and simulation tools, and emphasizes manufacturing technologies. Instrumentation, Measurement & Control Systems (MHT5013-B) covers sensors, actuators, and control systems, integrating theoretical and practical knowledge. Materials and Manufacturing Technologies (ENG5059-B) focuses on engineering materials and manufacturing processes. Solid Mechanics and Vibration Analysis (MAE5013-B) deepens understanding of stress, strain, and dynamic mechanical systems. Thermofluids 2 (MAE5012-B) builds on fluid mechanics and thermodynamics, introducing heat transfer and the Second Law of Thermodynamics.In the Third Year, students can choose between studying abroad or completing a placement year. In the Final Year, modules include Individual Research Project (ENG6003-D), where students work on academic or industrial projects, and Integrated Design (ENG6004-B), which involves group-based projects and product/system development. Materials Failure Analysis and Reliability (MAE6018-B) teaches students about failure mechanisms and how to analyze and prevent structural failures. Project Management and Six Sigma (ENB6010-B) focuses on project management principles and Six Sigma tools to enhance decision-making and efficiency in engineering applications.
