COURSE CURRICULUM

The course is designed to develop both advanced technical knowledge in computer networking and strong project management and leadership skills. Students gain a thorough understanding of project management tools and techniques, enabling them to plan, manage, and deliver successful projects effectively. Alongside this, they develop leadership abilities, learning how to manage organisational resources, implement high-performance systems, and respond to change within dynamic environments. The program also focuses on key networking areas such as wireless networking, where students design and simulate networks, and network systems administration, which involves maintaining secure and efficient server operations. A strong emphasis is placed on cybersecurity, equipping students with the skills to identify, prevent, and respond to evolving threats. In addition, students explore research methodologies, learning how to apply academic research and project management principles within legal and ethical frameworks. They also develop independent research skills, including designing proposals and conducting high-level investigations. Personal and professional development is another important aspect, helping students assess their skills and prepare for future careers. The course concludes with an MSc project, where students apply their technical, analytical, and managerial knowledge to create a research-based solution to a real-world networking problem.
