COURSE CURRICULUM

MSc in Sustainable Management will equip you with a strong foundation in both business management and sustainability, preparing you to address complex organisational challenges in a responsible and strategic manner. The Corporate Governance and Sustainability unit provides a comprehensive understanding of modern global corporate governance in relation to company law, enabling you to critically evaluate governance structures through case studies, current events, and examples of governance failure, and assess them against UK and international best practice to support long-term corporate sustainability for global stakeholders. The Business Sustainability in Practice unit explores the environmental impact of business activities and examines how organisations can improve environmental performance through initiatives such as net-zero and low-emission transitions, environmental management systems, and alignment with the UN Sustainable Development Goals. You will also develop an understanding of supply chain and logistics management through the Integrated Supply Chain and Logistics Management unit, where you will examine contemporary supply chain design and learn to implement effective solutions for control, operation, and management. Strategic insight is further developed in the Strategy unit, which introduces key tools and concepts for analysing business environments, assessing organisational positioning, and formulating and implementing strategic decisions. The program concludes with a Capstone unit, allowing you to integrate theory and practice by researching a topic relevant to your field of study, supported by research methods training and guidance from an academic supervisor.
