COURSE CURRICULUM

MSc in Supply Chain Management will equip you with the knowledge and practical skills required for the integrative management of organisations and their supply chain networks in a global business environment. You will explore the design and management of modern supply chains through the Designing and Managing the Supply Chain unit, where you will examine contemporary developments, assess state-of-the-art models, and evaluate solutions used in the design, control, operation, and management of supply chain systems, incorporating information technology, customer value, and international considerations. Building on this foundation, the Integrated Supply Chain and Logistics Management unit develops your understanding of core supply chain and logistics concepts, including demand forecasting, managing uncertainty, inventory control, transportation, packaging, procurement, processing, and distribution, enabling you to address the challenges of integrating and controlling supply chain operations effectively. Sustainability is a key theme of the program, with the Business Sustainability in Practice unit exploring the environmental impact of business activities and how organisations can improve sustainability performance through environmental management systems, net-zero transitions, and alignment with the UN Sustainable Development Goals. Strategic thinking is further developed through the Strategy unit, which introduces tools and concepts for strategic analysis and business modelling to assess organisational positioning and implement strategic decisions. The program concludes with a Capstone unit, allowing you to integrate theory and practice by researching a topic of personal interest under the guidance of a research supervisor using established research methods.
