COURSE CURRICULUM

MSc Automotive Engineering for Electric Vehicles will equip you with advanced knowledge and practical skills across automotive engineering, vehicle development, and sustainable automotive technologies. The course introduces key technical areas such as applied heat transfer, thermofluids, and computational fluid dynamics, enabling you to develop a strong understanding of heat transfer mechanisms, thermodynamic principles, fluid dynamics, and their application in modelling and simulation. With a strong emphasis on electric vehicles, the Advanced Vehicle Electronics and Autonomous Driving Technology unit develops your knowledge of control systems and artificial intelligence used in autonomous driving, as well as their integration within advanced vehicle electronics. You will further enhance your expertise in electric powertrain systems and vehicle dynamics through the Advanced Vehicle Dynamics and Sustainable Vehicle Powertrain unit, where you will analyse performance and develop preliminary designs for sustainable vehicle systems. Alongside technical development, the Research Methodologies and Project Management unit equips you with essential research, data analysis, and project planning skills, preparing you for independent technical investigation. The program culminates in a Master’s Project in Automotive Engineering for Electric Vehicles, allowing you to integrate theory and practice by researching or developing a solution in an area aligned with your professional interests, demonstrating your ability to apply advanced engineering knowledge to real-world challenges in electric and sustainable vehicle design.
