COURSE CURRICULUM

The course is structured over three years to develop knowledge and practical skills in tourism and hospitality management. In the first year, students build a foundation in business and professional skills, including numeracy, teamwork, and understanding sustainability challenges within the tourism and hospitality industries. They also learn key people management skills relevant to sectors such as tourism and aviation. In the second year, the focus shifts to operational and strategic aspects of the industry. Students explore international hospitality operations, service management, and the relationship between cultural tourism and heritage management. They also study marketing in the context of digital transformation, while choosing optional modules to tailor their learning, such as strategic planning, employment law, or crisis management. In the final year, students engage with advanced topics including contemporary issues in hospitality, sustainable destination management, and practical hospitality management skills such as leadership, decision making, and conflict resolution. They also continue to personalise their studies through optional modules in areas like ethics, entrepreneurship, and leadership. The course concludes with a business project, where students apply research and analytical skills to a real-world issue, preparing them for careers in global tourism and hospitality industries.
