COURSE CURRICULUM

The course is structured over three years to build a strong foundation in human resource management while developing practical and professional skills. In the first year, students focus on core concepts such as HRM foundations, people management, and organisational behaviour, alongside gaining essential numeracy skills and understanding how digital transformation is shaping the future of work. They also explore how organisations manage recruitment, development, and employee relationships, while gaining early experience through collaborative business challenges. In the second year, the emphasis shifts to applying HR knowledge in real-world contexts. Students study employment law, research methods, and innovative HR practices, while also developing an understanding of the strategic role of HR within organisations. They explore employment relations, reward systems, and the external factors influencing business decisions, while strengthening employability skills for future careers. In the final year, students focus on advanced topics such as professional HR practice, leadership, and contemporary workplace issues. They also study HR analytics, learning how to interpret and use data responsibly in decision making. The course concludes with an independent business project, where students design and carry out research on a relevant HR issue, preparing them for professional roles in human resource management.
