COURSE CURRICULUM

The course is structured over three years to progressively build knowledge and practical skills in economics, finance, and business. In the first year, students are introduced to fundamental concepts such as accounting, business operations, and the use of digital tools like Excel and SAGE. They also study basic microeconomics, macroeconomics, and finance, while developing essential numeracy skills and gaining early exposure to professional business environments through collaborative tasks. In the second year, the focus shifts toward deeper analytical and technical abilities. Students learn to use data analysis software to interpret economic and financial information, explore microeconomic theory in more detail, and study econometrics to connect theory with real-world data. They also gain insight into financial markets and instruments, while strengthening employability skills such as communication, teamwork, and networking. Additionally, research methods are introduced to support critical analysis of business problems. In the final year, students apply their learning to advanced topics including financial management, international economics, and economic policy analysis. They also complete a major business project, using research and data to investigate a real-world issue, preparing them for professional careers or further study.
