COURSE CURRICULUM

The course is structured over three years to build strong practical and analytical skills in sports journalism. In the first year, students develop a foundation in media writing, learning how to research and produce news stories, features, and creative content for different platforms. They also study the role of sport in society, exploring its historical and cultural significance, while gaining hands-on experience in content creation through audio and video production, editing, and podcasting. In the second year, the focus shifts to applying these skills in real-world contexts. Students engage in practical sports journalism, developing their abilities in reporting, broadcasting, writing, and editing in live situations. They also learn digital design for print and online media, enhance their skills in radio and podcast production, and explore the role of public relations and marketing in sports communication. In the final year, students complete a special project where they independently research, design, and produce work that reflects their knowledge and skills in sports journalism. This project allows them to demonstrate creativity, critical thinking, and professional standards, preparing them for careers in sports media, broadcasting, and related industries.
