COURSE CURRICULUM

The MA in Education is structured around seven taught modules and a dissertation, offering students the chance to develop specialist knowledge while conducting independent research. International and Comparative Education (20 credits) explores global perspectives, allowing students to critically evaluate educational systems and policies across different contexts. Learning Cultures, Places, and Spaces (20 credits) examines how environments and cultural settings influence learning and teaching practices. Future Focused Education and Innovative Pedagogies (10 credits) introduces creative approaches to teaching and learning for evolving educational needs. Digital Horizons in Education (10 credits) focuses on the impact of technology and digital innovations on modern education. Health and Wellbeing in Educational Contexts (20 credits) highlights the importance of wellbeing for learners and educators, addressing strategies to create supportive environments. Leadership and Change in Education (20 credits) develops the skills needed to manage change and lead effectively in educational settings. Research Methods in Education (20 credits) provides essential tools to design and conduct educational research. The program culminates in a Dissertation (60 credits), where students produce an original piece of research, supported by opportunities to publish or present their work in journals, online, or at conferences, enhancing academic and professional development.
