COURSE CURRICULUM

The two-year accelerated LLB program offers a structured yet flexible curriculum across two intensive years. In year one, students follow a diverse modular scheme that covers the foundational subjects required by legal professional bodies while placing law within its broader political, social, and economic context. To progress, students must successfully complete all nine compulsory modules, including key areas such as constitutional law, contract law, criminal law, tort law, and human rights, along with skills-based and research-focused modules. Failure to meet progression requirements results in transfer to the standard three-year LLB route. Students who demonstrate satisfactory progress continue on the accelerated pathway and undertake additional summer study worth 40 credits. In year two, students study alongside those on the traditional program, completing core modules such as judicial protection, equity and trusts, land law, and a dissertation, alongside optional modules that allow specialization in areas like criminal litigation, family law, intellectual property, medical law, environmental law, and human rights. Similar to year one, students also complete additional summer modules to achieve the required credits. Overall, the program combines rigorous academic training with flexibility and accelerated progression, enabling students to complete a comprehensive legal education within two years.
