The BA Human Resource Management degree is structured over three years to provide a comprehensive blend of academic knowledge, practical skills, and professional development. In the first year, students focus on foundational concepts and practices, studying modules such as Future Focused Organisations, Exploring Professional Practice, Culture and Behaviour, Employee Lifecycle, and Workplace Well-being. These modules introduce core HR principles, organisational behaviour, employee engagement, and wellbeing, while encouraging the development of professional skills. In the second year, students build on this foundation through modules including Evidenced-Based Practice, The Changing Organisation, Value Creation in Human Resource Management, Developing Professional Practice, and Talent Management. This year emphasizes the application of HR theory to real-world contexts, enabling students to develop strategic insight, manage talent effectively, and enhance their professional competencies. In the final year, the focus shifts to advanced strategic and global HRM concepts, with compulsory modules such as The Strategic Environment of HRM, Sustainable and Ethical People Practices, Transition into the Workplace, The Global Context of HRM, and the Human Resource Management Project. Students consolidate their learning through applied research and practical projects, preparing them for professional practice.
