COURSE CURRICULUM

The Creative Film, Television and Digital Media Production degree is structured across three years to provide a balance of practical experience and theoretical understanding of media production. In the first year, students develop core skills through compulsory modules such as Multi Camera TV Studio Production, Single Camera Production, Digital and Social Media Production, Media and Creative Industries, Writing the Media, and Producing Television Drama. These modules introduce the foundations of media production, from technical aspects of filming and editing to scriptwriting and industry knowledge, ensuring students gain a well-rounded start to their studies. In the second year, the focus shifts to more advanced and creative applications, with modules such as Short Film Production, Creative Video, and Researching for Screen Media, which encourage students to apply their skills in developing original content while also learning to research and analyze media in a critical and professional context. The final year culminates in the Final Major Project, a compulsory module that allows students to bring together the technical, creative, and research skills developed throughout the course to produce a significant piece of work.
