COURSE CURRICULUM

The MA Music Industry Management and Promotion course provides a comprehensive framework for developing the practical and academic skills needed to succeed in the competitive music industry. The compulsory modules focus on key areas essential for professional growth and industry readiness. Research Design equips students with the tools to critically evaluate information, understand trends, and apply evidence-based approaches to industry challenges, enhancing analytical and decision-making skills. Project Management and Planning teaches students how to organise, coordinate, and execute projects efficiently, preparing them to handle complex tasks such as events, artist campaigns, and promotional activities within real-world music industry contexts. The Master’s Project offers an opportunity for independent, in-depth investigation into a topic of professional or creative interest, allowing students to combine research, planning, and practical application to produce a substantial piece of work that demonstrates their expertise and initiative. Music Industry Practice immerses students in the operational and commercial aspects of the sector, from marketing and promotion to artist management and industry strategy.
