COURSE CURRICULUM

The BEng (Hons) Aerospace Engineering program is a three-year degree designed to provide students with a strong foundation in the principles, analysis, and design of aircraft and spacecraft. In the first year, students study Aerospace Vehicle Systems, Introduction to Aerospace Engineering, Design and Sustainability, Engineering Analysis, Engineering Practice, and Fundamentals of Engineering Science, building essential knowledge in aerodynamics, materials, structures, and engineering fundamentals while developing problem-solving and analytical skills. The second year progresses to more advanced topics, including Aerospace Design and Manufacturing, Space Systems, Vehicle Aerodynamics and Structures, Thermo-fluids, and Operations Management A, allowing students to explore complex systems, space technologies, and manufacturing processes while applying theoretical concepts to practical challenges. The third year focuses on specialized and project-based learning through Aerospace Advanced Material and Structural Analysis, Flight Dynamics and Control, Aerospace Propulsion, Engineering Project with Sustainability, and Computational Fluid Dynamics. These modules emphasize advanced technical analysis, design, and simulation, integrating sustainability and real-world problem-solving into engineering projects. Across all three years, students gain hands-on experience, develop computational and analytical skills, and apply their knowledge to practical scenarios. Graduates are well-prepared for careers in the aerospace and aviation industries, capable of contributing to the design, development, and analysis of innovative aircraft, spacecraft, and related aerospace technologies.
