COURSE CURRICULUM

The BA (Hons) International Hospitality Management course is designed to develop the knowledge, skills, and professional attributes required to succeed in the global hospitality industry. In the first year, students gain a solid foundation in hospitality and tourism through modules such as Creativity, Enterprise and Scholarship, Business Landscape, Global Hospitality Operations, and Professional Practice in Tourism, Hospitality and Events. These modules introduce key concepts in management, operations, and customer service while fostering essential professional and interpersonal skills. In the second year, students build on this knowledge by exploring Managing Experiences in Tourism, Hospitality and Events, Professional Skills in the T.H.E Workplace, and Contemporary Issues in the Global Hospitality Industry, which deepen understanding of operational, strategic, and industry-specific challenges. Optional modules allow students to specialise in areas such as Global Meetings, Industry and Business Events or Learning in Action, providing practical exposure to real-world scenarios. The third year focuses on advanced leadership, innovation, and research skills through modules including Global Hospitality: The Future, Independent Project for Tourism, Hospitality and Events, and Tourism, Hospitality and Events Graduate Innovation and Creativity. Additional optional modules, such as Managing Service Quality, International Fieldwork, and Applied Research, enable students to tailor their studies to their career goals. Graduates emerge prepared to manage, innovate, and lead within a dynamic international hospitality landscape.
