COURSE CURRICULUM

The BA (Hons) Graphic Design course provides a comprehensive journey through the creative, technical, and professional aspects of visual communication. In the first year, students build a strong foundation through modules such as Design Context 1, Creative Thinking, Communication Craft Skills, and Introduction to Graphic Communication, which develop core design principles, conceptual thinking, and craftsmanship. The second year deepens these skills through Design Context 2, Professional Practice, Graphic Communication in Context, and Applied Graphic Design, where students apply their creativity to practical briefs and explore how design functions within different industries and audiences. This stage also emphasizes professional development, preparing students to engage with real-world clients and projects. In the final year, students focus on developing a personal design identity through modules such as Design Context 3, External Project, Graphic Design Set Project, and Graphic Design Self-Initiated Project. These allow them to refine their creative direction, respond to external challenges, and produce a professional portfolio that reflects their unique style and skills. Across all years, the course balances creativity with strategy, fostering designers who can combine aesthetic innovation with effective communication and problem-solving, ready to pursue careers in graphic design, branding, publishing, or digital media.
